At CloudZero, we pride ourselves on developing a platform that provides an exceptional and engaging user experience across DevOps, Engineering, and Finance organizations.
This month, we’re rolling out many enhancements that simplify business-critical processes across the platform, from user management to anomaly detection and remediation to integration setup and maintenance. These combined efforts allow users to focus less on administrative tasks and devote more time to strategic efforts to optimize cloud spend.
In addition to the recent enhancements we’ve rolled out, check out our newest customer testimonial featuring Neon, who used CloudZero to grow engineering engagement by 20x, quantify unit cost metrics, and ultimately automate core financial reporting to increase the efficiency of their FinOps program drastically.
Automatically Manage User Groups Via SSO
What it is: We have made multiple improvements to Groups, the role-based access control (RBAC) functionality within the CloudZero platform, including the ability to manage Groups via single sign-on (SSO) providers.
Managing Groups via SSO allows customers to automatically manage CloudZero user groups, removing manual effort and human error to ensure users are always in the correct group(s) with the precise visibility needed to achieve their goals.
Once an admin sets up their SSO provider to send user group information to CloudZero, the platform will automatically look for existing groups and sync the appropriate users to those groups. This functionality currently supports OpenIDConnect, Okta, Azure AD, Google, and any identity provider using SAML. You can find more specifics about setting up SSO management by reviewing the product documentation.
Customer value: With the ability to connect to their existing SSO provider to automatically sync user groups, CloudZero customers – especially those enterprises with a large number of users – can enhance data security, eliminate manual effort and human error, and ensure that all users always have the correct access needed for them to achieve the goals of their role.

Single Savings View Enhancements
What it is: Following the initial release of the Single Savings View in the CloudZero platform, we have made enhancements to the user experience that make it easier for users to view details of a specific anomaly in their cloud spend.
Now, when a user is on an anomaly detail page, they have the option to click “View in Explorer,” which will bring them to a specific view within the Explorer page, highlighting details about that anomaly in the Event sidebar and also showing a graphical timeline to help better understand the cause of the anomaly.
This seamless experience, when combined with the hourly granularity available in CloudZero, makes it much easier for a user to get all the context required to uncover the root cause of an anomaly and take any necessary action to remediate the situation.
Users can now also update the status of an anomaly from this same view, further simplifying the process of reporting on progress in remediating anomalies.
Customer value: These user experience enhancements can have an extremely valuable impact for CloudZero users by providing the right level of detail and context to quickly get to the root cause of a costly anomaly in their cloud environment, drastically reducing mean time to remediation (MTTR).

Enhanced Databricks Cost Adaptor
What it is: CloudZero has developed a new in-platform Databricks integration that enhances how customers can visualize and explore 100% of their Databricks spend.
With this new integration, customers can quickly and easily integrate with their Databricks Data Intelligence Platform in just a few minutes without setting up or maintaining any supporting infrastructure in their own environment.
To set up the integration with this new cost adaptor, users simply navigate to Settings > Connections in their CloudZero console and then click the “Add New Connection” button.
From there, they simply follow the step-by-step instructions to provide basic identification and authentication information related to their Databricks account. Once that information is submitted and saved, the connection will be verified, and CloudZero will automatically start ingesting the cost data from Databricks.
Customer value: This new integration makes it easier for CloudZero customers to start ingesting their Databricks cost data and eliminates the need for customers to set up or maintain any supporting infrastructure in their own environment.
